National Entrepreneurship Summit 2024
A two-day summit bringing together student founders, investors, and industry mentors to explore the future of entrepreneurship in India.
The National Entrepreneurship Summit 2024 was one of LEAD College's flagship events of the academic year — a two-day convergence of ideas, ambition, and industry experience that brought together student founders, venture investors, and seasoned mentors from across the country.
Day one opened with a keynote address from a prominent serial entrepreneur, followed by panel discussions on the evolving startup ecosystem in India. Topics ranged from early-stage fundraising and product-market fit to the unique challenges faced by first-generation entrepreneurs from tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
The afternoon featured a live pitching competition in which student teams presented their ventures to a panel of judges comprising active investors and business leaders. The energy in the room was palpable — twelve teams competed, each showcasing months of preparation, research, and conviction.
Day two was structured around intensive workshops covering lean methodology, financial modelling for early-stage startups, and the psychology of selling. Participants rotated between sessions led by practitioners with direct experience in building and scaling companies.
The summit concluded with an awards ceremony recognising the top three ventures. The winning team — presenting an agri-tech solution for small farmers — received mentorship support and the opportunity to present at a national startup conference.
Organised entirely by students under the LEAD Operations Teams (LOTs) framework, the summit demonstrated the institution's commitment to practical, hands-on learning. From logistics and speaker outreach to stage management and participant experience, every aspect was student-driven.
The event affirmed LEAD's position as a campus where entrepreneurship is not just taught — it is lived, practised, and celebrated.
